Our trip up the Potomac was refreshingly peaceful; it’s not
a busy river, especially the upper portion past the Nice Bridge (yes, that’s its
name). Aside from the occasional power boat—sail boats were even rarer—we were frequently
the only boat around. All too soon we were back on Chesapeake Bay and dodging behemoths
like this container ship at Hampton Roads.
