We had traveled up the St. Johns River to Jacksonville to
meet with our friends Carl and Carrie, who were readying their new boat for
cruising. On the way back downriver, we had to circle to avoid this cruise ship
as it left the dock. It was kind of nerve-wracking to watch it approach and
pass beneath this bridge, which just didn’t seem high enough. Obviously, the
ship had already passed under it to reach the dock. Still, we waited with bated
breath and kept our distance as it passed through.

Yacht Spotting: Sycara IV
We spotted this classically styled beauty on the dock at
Fernandina Harbor Marina in Fernandina Beach, Florida. I love the long, low
look. I couldn’t get full-length pictures because of the space limitations of
the dock, so if you want to see details, as well as interior photos (no, we
weren’t invited in L), look here.
She’s on sale for only $37,000,000 (!!!).
